After a string of disastrous press conferences – and an overall tanking
of his presidency – Fox News host Shepard Smith admitted Wednesday that
his team of producers were unable to find a single Republican willing to
come on the air and defend Donald Trump’s disaster of a week.
When Fox

PREDICTION: Trump Will Resign In Disgrace...Soon
Trump’s days in office are numbered. Cenk Uygur, the host of The Young Turks, breaks it down.
Moment Of Truth Coming For Trump
Trump’s response to the Charlottesville aftermath is earning him scorn
from even his own party. Cenk Uygur, the host of The Young Turks, tells
you how the moment of truth is coming.
“(CNN)Republican lawmakers and administration aides found themselves again Wednesday weighing the costs and benefits of remaining loyal to President Donald Trump, whose equivocal statements about neo-Nazis and white supremacists marked a dramatic shift in presidential rhetoric.
By Wednesday afternoon, most appeared to have made their calculation: deserting Trump now could only harm — and not help — their agendas or political fortunes.
Republican leaders in Congress, including House Speaker Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, released statements affirming their disavowal of white supremacist groups and neo-Nazis — but not explicitly condemning Trump, who said Tuesday there were "very fine people" protesting in Charlottesville amid the torch-bearing marchers.
Within the White House, Trump's aides privately expressed indignation at the derailed news conference, which unraveled on cable television Tuesday afternoon and has been replayed endlessly since.
But they, too, stopped short of declaring their consternation publicly, determined instead to remain focused on their agenda and keep the President occupied.
Trump himself has remained largely silent on the matter. But inside the glassed-in confines of Trump Tower — where he remained inside for nearly two days straight — the President was defiant in the wake of the ensuing backlash, according to two people who visited the building on Wednesday.”

Ex-KKK Leader David Duke Has A Meltdown After Trump Condemns White Supremacists In Charlottesville
By Hayley Miller
Former KKK leader David Duke was none too pleased that President Donald Trump
on Monday finally got around to condemning extremist groups by name ―
including including neo-Nazis and the Ku Klux Klan ― for the deadly
weekend protest in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Minutes after Trump’s speech, Duke lashed out in a series of tweets, claiming Trump had been manipulated by the media.
“It’s
amazing to see how the media is able to bully the President of the
United States into going along with their FAKE NEWS narrative,” Duke
tweeted.
Soon after that, in an anti-Semitic, racist Periscope video rant,
Duke spoke directly to Trump, claiming white nationalists abhor
violence. He said “it’s just ridiculous” that the president felt he had
to make Monday’s statement.
“President
Trump, please, for God’s sake, don’t feel like you need to say these
things,” Duke admonished in the video. “It’s not going to do you any
good.”
Duke
also stuck up for James Alex Fields, 20, the white nationalist motorist
accused of ramming his car into a crowd of counter-protesters, killing
Heather Heyer, 32. “When you’re under attack ... you panic and you do
things that are stupid and you do things that are wrong,” Duke said.
Trump
made an address to the nation on Monday, after two days of withering
criticism for a vague Saturday statement that criticized hatred and
bigotry on “many sides.”
“Racism
is evil, and those who cause violence in its name are criminals and
thugs, including the KKK, Neo-Nazis, white supremacists and other hate
groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as
Americans,” Trump said.
Lawmakers
from both parties had called Trump out for not specifically denouncing
hate groups in the wake of a white nationalist rally that left three
people dead, including two state troopers, and at least 19 injured.
Some
white supremacist organizations, such as the Daily Stormer, praised
Trump’s vague weekend statement. Duke at the time appeared to warn the
president against calling out white nationalists, a group that has
largely embraced Trump.
Duke said on Saturday that the rally would help fulfill Trump’s “promises.”
“This
represents a turning point for the people of this country,” Duke said.
“We are determined to take our country back. We are going to fulfill the
promises of Donald Trump.”

Nazi Tweet Gets Trump Ally Jeffrey Lord Fired
Trump backer, Jeffrey Lord, has been fired from CNN. Cenk Uygur, Ana
Kasparian, and Brett Erlich, the hosts of The Young Turks, break it down.
"Nazi salutes are indefensible," a CNN spokesperson said in a statement. "Jeffrey Lord is no longer with the network."
Lord said his tweet was misunderstood. He said he was mocking fascists, not acting like one.
"I love CNN, but I feel they are caving to bullies here," he said in a telephone interview shortly after the network's decision was announced.
Lord said his contract was set to expire at the end of the year. He said he greatly respected CNN management despite disagreeing with the decision.
This is not the first time CNN has cut ties with a prominent personality on the network due to an offensive tweet.
Earlier this year CNN cancelled Reza Aslan's documentary series "Believer" after he posted profane anti-Trump tweets.

Foreign Diplomats Call Trump A Laughing Stock Who Is Obsessed With Obama
According to a new report, foreign diplomats visiting the United States
are less than impressed with Donald Trump. In fact, they can’t seem to
stop laughing about how pathetic he really is, and about the fact that he
won’t shut up about his predecessor, Barack Obama.
When other countries are laughing, we should probably reevaluate our choices.
According to a new report, European diplomats do not have a very flattering image of Donald Trump. In fact, according to these European diplomats, who interviewed with BuzzFeed on the condition of anonymity, they actually view Donald Trump as most Europeans do, as a complete laughingstock. The latest available polls show us that 79% of people living in Europe do not trust Donald Trump. They do not think he is an effective leader, and they think he is an embarrassment for the United States, and as a U.S. citizen, you're absolutely right. We agree with you on this.
But the fact that these diplomats, who do have the job of having to meet with Donald Trump, having to work with him when he goes on these overseas trips, the fact that they see him as a laughingstock is not anything that people in the United States should be laughing at. That is a very dangerous situation when nobody among your ally countries respects your leader, that they do not view him as a very serious person, and more important as the interview states, they don't view him as an intelligent person. One of the diplomats said that they actually play a form of word bingo when the president is around because he always uses the same words, over and over, like it's great, it's very, very good, it's tremendous. They say he has such a limited vocabulary, that is one of the sources of ridicule among the other diplomats.
Furthermore, and one of the most dangerous about him they said was that the man is clearly obsessed with President Obama. During meetings, they said Trump would not want to debate issues. He would ask if it was something Obama had supported. If the answer was yes, Obama supported it, Trump would blindly and blankly say, then I do not support it. No debate, no discussion, no understanding at all of what they were actually talking about. He just wanted to be opposed to anything that Barack Obama was for, and that is one of the biggest problems that they see over in Europe. Donald Trump is too obsessed with Obama to be an effective leader.
According to these diplomats, it appears that Donald Trump's only policy goals for the United States are to undo the accomplishments of Barack Obama. And to be honest, from what we've seen so far coming out of the Oval Office, that does appear to be his only agenda. He doesn't care about creating jobs. He doesn't care about protecting the environment or anything having to do with anything related to Americans. He just wants to roll back every single thing President Obama did so that four, eight years down the road, Obama can't look at this country and say, oh, that was the program I put in place, because Donald Trump wants to destroy it all.
And he's not only destroying things over here in the United States, as we see from this story. He's also destroying our image that Barack Obama had rebuilt amongst our allies in Europe, and maybe that's Trump's plan, since everyone in Europe really seemed to like Barack Obama, especially after eight years of Bush and our image overseas declined tremendously. Barack Obama repaired that. So I guess Donald Trump destroying that is just another part of his let's undo all of Obama's accomplishments policy.

Airbnb Has Blocked The Accounts Of Attendees Of A Far-Right Rally
By Shannon Ho
Airbnb has deleted accounts and
canceled bookings of users who appear to be connected to "Unite the
Right," a far-right political rally set for Saturday in Charlottesville,
Virginia.
Neo-Nazi and white
supremacist website The Daily Stormer had organized a series of large
rally-weekend gatherings through the home-sharing site, Airbnb told NBC News.
Concerned Airbnb users flagged the thread, leading the company to
investigate potential violations of its user contract, which calls for
unbiased hospitality.
Airbnb said
they decided to remove the far-right lodgers because they were "pursuing
behavior on the platform that would be antithetical to the Airbnb
Community Commitment."
Jason
Kessler, organizer of the "Unite the Right" rally and self-described
"pro-white" activist, said Airbnb's blocking of certain users is
"outrageous and should be grounds for a lawsuit."
Clay
Hansen, the executive director of the nonpartisan Thomas Jefferson
Center for the Protection of Free Expression in Charlottesville,
said Airbnb's choice to terminate accounts does not violate the First
Amendment.
"I would say that
while Airbnb's actions wouldn't necessarily comport with general free
speech principles, they are a private company and are entitled to enact
and enforce their terms of service as they see fit," Hansen told NBC
News.
The rally, scheduled to take
place Saturday in Charlottesville, is shaping up to be the "the largest
hate-gathering of its kind in decades," according to the Southern Poverty Law Center.
As
of Tuesday, Aug. 8, almost 700 people said they would be attending, and
another 1,200 showed interest in the event on its Facebook link. The
rally aims to "to affirm the right of Southerners and white people to
organize for their interests."
"It's
the racial targeting of white people for their ethnic advocacy,"
Kessler wrote in an email to NBC. "Would Airbnb cancel the service of
black nationalists or Black Lives Matter activists for their social
media activity? Of course not!"
White
supremacists gathered in Charlottesville in May to protest the removal
of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee's statue. They chanted "All White
Lives Matter" while carrying torches. Klu Klux Klan members also
protested there in July for the same cause.
Paypal is canceling white supremacists' accounts and the alt-right is pissed

Thanks to the advancement of white nationalism to the White House, the racist “alt-right” is having quite the heyday. BuzzFeed News reports,
however, that many prominent figures from the movement have been
getting shut out of numerous platforms for using them to make money off
of spreading hate.
Prominent members of the so-called alt-right and other right-wing movements often rely on crowdfunding platforms and online payment processors to fund their causes (and sometimes even their bail),
but lately they’ve been having trouble accessing the money donated by
their supporters. Over the past five months, PayPal has banned or
hobbled the accounts of several prominent people and groups that promote
far-right politics. Crowdfunding platforms like GoFundMe, Patreon, and
YouCaring have also cut fundraisers for alt-right–associated causes and
people.
Considering that the tech world doesn’t exactly have the best track
record with diversity and tolerance, this is a pleasant surprise. It may
also be a hopeful sign that finally we’re seeing folks recognizing that
members of the alt-right support hateful and backward ideologies.
In response to the slow shut-out, Richard Spencer launched a new site where the racists can raise money—all in the name of their twisted concept of “free speech”—in peace.
In response to the slow shut-out, Richard Spencer launched a new site where the racists can raise money—all in the name of their twisted concept of “free speech”—in peace.
And a new, invite-only crowdfunding site called "Hatreon" that launched in June has garnered attention from Richard Spencer, the white nationalist credited with coining the term "alt-right." Hatreon told BuzzFeed News that it currently hosts 50 campaigns supported by about 130 donors who send roughly $3,000 per month in total. The company said these numbers represent a soft launch and that its site will be available to the public soon. Cody Wilson, a cofounder, said he and others started the site after Patreon kicked right-wing content creator TV KWA off its platform at the end of May.Paypal’s crackdown isn't limited to American alt-right “activists.” Accounts for a French anti-immigrant group called Generation Identity and the violent anti-Muslim site Bare Naked Islam have been blocked and/or limited, too.

This Is What You Voted For
Reflections on Trump's latest comments about North Korea.
LINCOLN, NEBRASKA—Since I am presently located in proximity to god alone knows how many nuclear missiles,
I am forced to take very seriously the latest evidence that Trump has left whatever hinges he ever had
far, far behind.
This is flat fucking crazy. From ABC News:
This is the way Saddam Hussein used to talk, or the way some 12-year old gamer crows after reaching Level 900 of Nuclear Zombies In Heat. To
hear Trump spout off like this has the
potential to have half the world hiding in the basement. For me, I'm
going to walk carefully around here for a couple of days. You can never
tell what might pop out of the ground.
We will be lucky to live through this.

Anthony Scaramucci Out As White House Communications Director After 10 Days On The Job
By Lindsay Kimble
Just over a week into his new role as White House communications director, New York financier Anthony Scaramucci has been removed from the position, according to the New York Times and other outlets.
Multiple sources told the Times that President Donald Trump chose to remove Scaramucci at the request of the administration’s new chief of staff, Gen. John Kelly.
Scaramucci’s short tenure was certainly a whirlwind: after giving an expletive-laden interview to the New Yorker about his colleagues, Scaramucci’s wife filed for divorce on Friday.
It is unclear at this time whether Scaramucci is being completely removed from the White House, or whether he is taking on a different role in the administration, reports CNN.
This is a developing story, please check back for more information.

Trump's Been Laundering Russian Mob Money For Decades, Allegedly
Russian mobsters needed a lot of property from a sleazy businessman who

"In 1984, a Russian émigré named David Bogatin went shopping for apartments in New York City.
The 38 year old had arrived in America seven years before, with just $3 in his pocket. But for a former pilot in the Soviet Army—his specialty had been shooting down Americans over North Vietnam—he had clearly done quite well for himself.
Bogatin wasn’t hunting for a place in Brighton Beach, the Brooklyn enclave known as “Little Odessa” for its large population of immigrants from the Soviet Union. Instead, he was fixated on the glitziest apartment building on Fifth Avenue, a gaudy, 58 story edifice with gold plated fixtures and a pink-marble atrium: Trump Tower.”

Pond scum moonlighting as a human being
By Walter Einenkel
During President Obama’s administration, useless hedge fund managers cried big boy tears about how persecuted they were being. President Obama had to frequently attempt to remind them that they made way too much money to be crying over anything.
Sadly, President Obama did not have the will to send them all to jail where many of them deserve to be—to this day.
In 2010, after President Obama helped to navigate our country out of the largest economic disaster since the 1929 Wall Street crash, he held a televised Town Hall. During it, a younger and equally craven Anthony Scaramucci got to ask a question.
The question sounded something like “WAH WAH WAH WAH WAH, my feelings!”
To which President Obama replied.

The question sounded something like “WAH WAH WAH WAH WAH, my feelings!”
To which President Obama replied.
I think it'd be useful to go back and look at the speeches that I've made, including a speech by the way I made back in 2007, on Wall Street, before Lehmans had gone under. In which I warned about a potential crisis if we didn't start reforming practices on Wall Street. At the time I said exactly what you said, which is Wall Street and Main Street are connected. We need a vibrant vital financial sector that is investing in businesses investing in jobs investing in our people providing consumers loans so they can buy products all that's very important and we want that to thrive but we've got to do so in a responsible way.
I have been amused over the last couple of years this sense of somehow meet beating up on Wall Street. I think most folks on Main Street feel like they got beat up on; and I'll be honestly there's a big chunk of the country--hold on--I was like there's a big chunk of the country that thinks that I have been too soft yet on Wall Street and that's the majority—not the minority.
Now, what I've tried to do is just try to be practical. You know I'm sure that at any given point over the last two years there have been times where I have been frustrated, and I'll give you some examples—I mean when I hear folks who say that somehow were being too tough on Wall Street, but after a huge crisis the top 25 hedge fund managers took home a billion dollars in income that year. A billion!
For what it’s worth, Scaramucci is exactly like the rest of this administration—pond scum moonlighting as human.
