Disgraced televangelist Jim Bakker told his audience recently that if
they don’t buy his $60 pancake mix, they will likely be facing eternal
damnation. His reasoning for this statement is quite impressive and it
probably resulted in more than a few petrified conservatives calling in
to order his latest scam products. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins
discusses this.

Oh, So Now Steve Harvey Is Sorry For Cozying Up To Trump?
Black celebrities from Ben Vereen to Wilt Chamberlain have identified themselves with Republicans and survived. But this is different.
11.06.17 5:00 AM ET
“I walked away feeling like I had just talked with a man who genuinely wants to make a difference in this area. I feel that something really great could come out of this,” said Harvey of his meeting with Trump.
Harvey basked in the glory of meeting with a man who rose to prominence as a “birther” and elevated white supremacists to the highest levels of power. For months, Harvey defended his decision to meet with Trump and only now that it could potentially ruin his career he has seen the error in his ways. Harvey’s no longer a person worth listening to.
Frankly, Harvey had already stopped being funny back in June, after he told a man from Flint, Michigan, who called into his radio show to “enjoy your nice brown glass of water.”
Harvey gets it now. “Meeting with Donald Trump was the worst mistake of my life,” he recently said on his radio show. But he has a lot of work to do to win back black support.
Ben Carson was loved by black America when he was the brain surgeon from Johns Hopkins who wrote inspirational books for black children. But all of his credibility quickly evaporated once he started criticizing President Barack Obama. His clueless political statements, stunningly moronic presidential campaign, and friendship with Trump only further solidified his exile from and ridicule within the black community. Carson seems uninterested in making amends and working to earn back the support he once had. He’s chosen a new team.
Harvey and Carson deserve their ostracism. But not everyone does. In recent years, the most dramatic and controversial shunning a black celebrity has received from the black community is also the most tragic and unjust.

Another Tuesday Night Loser: The Overrated Steve Bannon
After Ed Gillespie lost, the shaggy alt-righter and his
followers immediately denounced him as ‘establishment.’ Yeah, right. And
if Gillespie had won, running the same campaign...
11.08.17 11:54 AM ET
A few observers have recently suggested Steve Bannon is overrated.
Tuesday night’s results in Virginia only reinforce this view. Bannon
backed Republican gubernatorial nominee Ed Gillespie, saying that it was
his embrace of Trump policies that gave him a shot at winning (in
fairness, I thought Gillespie had a real shot, too).
He also raved about Jill Holtzman Vogel,
the GOP’s lieutenant governor candidate. “She is just fantastic… She’s
just a fire-breathing populist,” he said. They both went down in flames.
In the immediate aftermath of Gillespie’s loss, Breitbart.com (Bannon’s outlet) blared headlines calling Gillespie a “swamp creature” and part of the “establishment.”
Joel B. Pollak, senior editor-at-large at Breitbart News, wrote that it would be wrong to view this race as a repudiation of Trumpism. Instead, he writes, “It would be more accurate to point out that, once again, the Republican establishment came up short. Someone in the Gillespie campaign actually thought it would be a good idea to campaign with Condoleezza Rice — who, for all her merits, is a relic of the George W. Bush administration.”
That’s what they’re saying now. But if Gillespie had won by running the exact same campaign playbook, they would be praising him as a populist hero, and touting this as a positive referendum on Trumpism.
This gives us a clue as to how Bannon operates. He swoops in and stakes his claim. If his candidate wins, he claims credit. If his candidate loses, it’s because they never really had enough revolutionary fervor. They are then airbrushed out of the pictures. Only successes end up on the resume.
Recently, Bannon latched onto Roy Moore after it was pretty clear he would defeat Luther Strange in Alabama’s Senate primary. This gave the impression that he was some sort of kingmaker. Bannon probably also helped scare Senators Bob Corker and Jeff Flake into an early retirement. But while he might be good at spotting, co-opting, and even enflaming these pre-existing conditions and populist uprisings, he is not leading them.
The
truth is, he doesn’t even have to. In the past, Breitbart and Bannon
have backed numerous losing causes and candidates. He knows that batting
.300 gets you into Cooperstown. Now, he’s working to primary every
incumbent Republican senator.
Bannon doesn’t have to have a winning record to scare people into
changing the way they talk or campaign—or even into retiring. And he’s
not at all worried that his impact will lead to more Democrats winning.
Make no mistake, that’s going to happen. Yes, we will see more populist Bannonite Republicans elected in places like Alabama--and maybe even states like Ohio, but we will also see more and more Democrats elected in states like Virginia.
The moral of the story for Republicans is that Trumpism is toxic in diverse areas full of educated suburbanites. As these regions continue to grow (and as the areas where Trump performs well continue to shrink), Republicans will face the demographic crisis we’ve been warning about for years.
This was always going to be a challenge for Republicans, but Trump and Bannon have exacerbated the problem.
Roy Moore can win in deep-red Alabama; he can’t win in purple Virginia.

Trump Reportedly Had A Meltdown In Anticipation Of Indictments In The Russian Probe
The first indictment from Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation
into Russia's role in the 2016 presidential election was made on
Monday. As the probe intensifies, Donald Trump continues to downplay the
criminal charges, insist there was no collusion between his campaign
and Moscow and trying to redirect attention to Hillary Clinton's emails.

Ivanka Trump Says American Workers Are The “Best”, Still Has Her Products Made Overseas
During an interview on Fox News, Ivanka Trump claimed that both her and
her father believe that American workers are the absolute “best” in the
world.
If that’s the case, why do both Ivanka and Donald have the products for their clothing lines made overseas?
It has nothing to do with tax codes, as Ivanka claims, and has everything to do with paying slave wages to workers. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins discusses this.

Impeachment Ad Triggers Fox News Fans
Fox & Friends viewers were livid over an ad that ran during the
show. Cenk Uygur, John Iadarola, Francesca Fiorentini, and Judah
Friedlander, the hosts of The Young Turks, show you the impeachment ad.
"Billionaire Democratic mega-donor Tom Steyer is spending over $10 million to run a national advertisement calling for Trump's impeachment. Steyer made his fortune as a hedge fund manager. In 2016, he spent $65 million supporting Democrats and environmental causes, including Martin O'Malley.
Steyer is considering challenging Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein in California, he's also mulling a 2020 presidential run.
In the ad, Steyer calls Trump "a clear and present danger" who is "mentally unstable" and armed with nuclear weapons. Friday morning Trump attacked Steyer on Twitter calling him "wacky and totally unhinged."

This Amazing Pic Of Trump And Mitch McConnell Having Russian Flags Thrown At Them Is Priceless
By Jason Easley
A picture captures the precise moment when Trump and Mitch McConnell had Russian flags thrown at them as they arrived for the Republican Senate lunch.
A picture captures the precise moment when Trump and Mitch McConnell had Russian flags thrown at them as they arrived for the Republican Senate lunch.
The picture was taken by Roll Call photographer Bill Clark.
Pictures are capable of capturing the mood of a nation better than words ever could. This is one of those moments as a smiling Mitch McConnell, and thumbs up Trump are reminded of what they did to win an election as Russian flags fly toward them.
McConnell has been one of the cover-up artists for Trump in the Russia campaign. Going back to the 2016 campaign, McConnell refused to work with President Obama and issue a joint statement condemning Russian interference in the presidential election.
McConnell also allowed Russia to attack the election by expressing skepticism about the intelligence that Russia was interfering in the US presidential election.
Mitch McConnell is still working hard to cover-up Trump's crimes.
Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words, or in this case, one stolen presidential election.

John McCain Brutally Mocks Trump For Being A Draft Dodging Coward
By Jason Easley
Sen. John McCain was talking about the Vietnam War on C-SPAN 3’s American History TV when he got the ultimate dig in on Trump by calling out rich kids who avoided the draft with issues like bone spurs.
Sen. McCain (R-AZ) said, “One aspect of the conflict by the way that I will never ever countenance is that we drafted the lowest income level of America and the highest income level found a doctor that would say that they had a bone spur. That is wrong. That is wrong. If we are going to ask every American to serve, every American should serve.”
Donald Trump has been insulting and threatening Sen. McCain even after his brain cancer diagnosis, but McCain has been through way worse than anything Trump can dish out on Twitter. Sen. McCain was right on one critical point. Trump is a man who wrapped himself in the flag but used his family’s wealth to avoid serving his country. Aresident who
is under federal investigation for collaborating with a hostile foreign
power to undermine democracy and win a presidential election is no
patriot.
The prognosis may not be good for John McCain, but if he is in the final act of his life, he is using it to defend his country against the threat that is Donald Trump.

Trump Says The “Piss Tape” Dossier Is A Conspiracy Funded By The FBI, Democrats, And Russia
Donald Trump is not happy about the resurgence of the “piss tape dossier”
that claimed that Trump paid prostitutes to piss on him in a Russian
hotel.
While there were far more explosive claims in the report, the “Golden Shower” claim has gained the most attention due to the overall creepiness of that assertion.
But Trump is fighting back, and he now says that this entire dossier was the result of the FBI, the Democratic Party, and Russia coming together to smear him. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins discusses this.

Trump Drops 92 Spots On Forbes Rich List After Losing $600 Million This Year
Donald Trump, and the few people who still support him, love to tell us
that he is one of the best businessmen the world has ever known. If that
were the case, then how did he manage to lose $600 million in the last
year, causing him to drop 92 spots on Forbes list of 400 richest
Americans?
Trump is about as good as running businesses as he is at running the country, as Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins explains.

Televangelist: God Will Punish Those Who Mock Me!
Jim Bakker wants you to know that if you make fun of him God will punish
you. Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian, the hosts of The Young Turks, break
it down.
“You remember Jim Bakker? He’s the guy who hosted the televangelist program The PTL Club in the 1980's until it was revealed he paid off Jessica Hahn over rape allegations. Bakker would end up serving five years in prison for mail and wire fraud and has since gone back to his televangelist ways, hosting a show in which he pitches survivalist goods to those prepping for the end of days.
Last week, during his program’s broadcast, Bakker took aim at those who have ridiculed him over the years by telling them that eventually, they will have to answer to God for doing so.
Defending his past prophecies that haven’t come true yet, Bakker and his wife claimed that he had accurately predicted 9/11 while noting that “when God says something to you, you don’t always know the exact time it’s going to happen.”
He added that his critics need to stop “beating up on prophets” because the lord proclaims “woe unto you when you beat up on the prophets.” After labeling those who aren’t speaking to God as “mean people” and “anti-Christ,” he then railed at those who have made fun of him over the years.”

Rebekah Mercer And Kellyanne Conway Need To Compete In A Who Looks More Like A Skeleton Contest
We need to stop talking about Bannon and start talking about the REAL source of all this.
Steve Bannon is a just another tool of the Mercers.
He is. Conway is, and Trump is. They're tools. To make all of this about him or them is to allow the source of their power to remain largely unknown. Between the perpetual campaigning and Citizens United, we need to shine bright spotlights on the money sources that influence - CONTROL - our government.
After the Russians, this reclusive father-daughter team exercised massive control of the last election. THEY need to be outted widely. Can you say Cambridge Analytica? Can you say Breitbart?
Robert Mercer - father/patriarch
Diane Mercer - mother
Rebekah Mercer - daughter/on-the-ground-face-of-the-family
After bankrolling the Trump campaign's dirty tricks squad, the Mercer's started enjoying what they bought. Big Bux Bob, the dad, put his 42 year old little girl, Rebekah-Friend-Of-Czarina-And-Secretary-Of-Everything, on the Presidential Transition team.
Even the god-fearing set get this:
Know Thy Enemy: Ephesians 6:11-12
So yeah, use their names whenever you want to speak of Bannon, their current field general.

Trump Doesn't Know What He's President Of
Trump said he met with the President of The Virgin Islands…which would
be…himself.
Cenk Uygur, John Iadarola, and Mark Thompson, the hosts of The Young Turks, break it down.
“Washington (CNN)resident Donald Trump accidentally referred to the
Virgin Islands' governor as their President during a speech Friday - even though he is technically their resident.
"I will tell you I left Texas and I left Florida and I left Louisiana
and I went to Puerto Rico and I met with the President of the Virgin
Islands," he told the audience of the Values Voter Summit in Washington.
"We are one nation and we all hurt together, we hope together and we
heal together," he said, later adding, "The Virgin Islands and the
President of the Virgin Islands, these are people that are incredible
people, they suffered gravely and we're be there, we're going to be
there, we have really, it is not even a question of a choice."
Trump appeared to be referring to Virgin Islands Gov. Kenneth Mapp, instead of the "resident" who is Trump himself.

Trump 'hypocrite-in-chief' for signing 50 executive orders
CNN anchor Erin Burnett labeled President Trump the "hypocrite-in-chief"
on Thursday after the resident signed his 50th executive order in
office.
"Hypocrite-in-chief –resident Trump doing something today he
harshly criticized President Obama for doing. Trump signed his 50th
executive order today," Burnett said on her show "Out Front."
Burnett noted that on the campaign trail Trump frequently took to criticizing Obama for signing executive orders when he was in office.
"We have a president that can't get anything done so he just keeps signing executive orders all over the place," Trump said in January 2016, according to The Washington Post.
